Thank you

Dear mom,
I'd like to say thank you,
I'm a little bigger now
And I understand what you,
Did for me to be somehow.
To grow old, to be healthy, to know...

I linger in the doorway,
Waiting for your signal
That I can step into the room.
‘cause you'd rather sacrifice yourself,
For me to be in...safe.

Dear mom,
You gave me life, you understood my needs
Even when I couldn't speak
You taught me 'Life's how it should be'
You taught me 'I will always pay that fee'.

Mother,
Can you hide them from the waiting world,
Can you keep them in the dark for life?

If by chance I pass before you
Don't discount my gratitude,
